Chen Jian(China),

was born in Qingdao, Shandong Province, in 1959. He is assistant director and secretary general of Watercolour Art Committee in China Artists Association, assistant director of Watercolour Art Committee in Beijing Artists Association, vice president of Beijing Watercolour Society. He has won many national awards in China, including Silver Award in the 7th National Watercolour and Pastel Exhibition, Award of Excellence from the 1st National Small–size Watercolour Exhibition, Award of Excellence and Marie's Prize of Art Creation from the 10th National Art Exhibition, Award of Excellence in the 1st National Exhibition of Watercolour Portraiture. He is juror of the 8th–9th National Watercolour and Pastel Exhibition, the 11th National Art Exhibition, the 3rd–4th National Youth Art Exhibition, Shanghai Zhujiajiao International Watercolour Biennial, the 2nd National Pastel Exhibition, the 2nd National Small–size Watercolour Exhibition, the 12th National Army Art Exhibition, the 2nd National Youth Watercolour Exhibition, the 10th China Art Festival, etc. His works were showed in France, Japan, South Korea and Egypt.

Maureen Bloomfield(U.S.A)

Maureen Bloomfield is an art critic (artforum, ARTnews, Sculpture) and independent curator. Since 2006, she has been editor in chief of The Artist’s Magazine; prior to that, she was editor of Pastel Journal and senior editor of Watercolor Artist, all published by F+W. Bloomfield has served as chief juror for the National Watercolor Society, The Pastel Society of America, and Birds in Art. In addition, she writes poetry that has appeared in The Nation, The Paris Review, Poetry, Best American Poetry, and other publications.


Janine Gallizia(France)
Janine Gallizia has been a professional watercolourist since the age of 26, exhibiting her work all throughout the world in both solo and group exhibitions. Janine has been awarded many prestigious prizes for her work, and her work can be found in private and public collections around the world. Janine is also an International judge for many of the world’s leading watercolour competitions: American Watercolor Society, Shanghai Biennial, The World Watercolour Competition, France; International Watercolour Society; Turkey, etc. To date Janine has published four sell-out books on watercolour and travels frequently around the world holding workshops. In 2005 Janine co-created what is recognized today as the world’s leading watercolour magazine,The Art of Watercolour, which is currently distributed into 36 countries. She is the Art Director for the magazine.

Immigrated to Australia in 1970, Joseph Zbukvic continued his formal education at Dakin University, Melbourne, graduated in1974, gaining a diploma of art, majoring in industrial design. Then in 1978 he took up painting full time quickly establishing himself as one of the leading artists in this country. He has had over 40 solo exhibitions in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane,Adelaide, London UK and San Antonio, Texas USA. He is a member of the Victorian Watercolour Society and its vice president from 1991 to 1994 and also member of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists, Victorian Artists Society, Twenty Melbourne Painters Society, Australian Watercolour Institute. He teaches at Charles Sturt University, and Mitchell School of arts. He has won over 200 awards in his career including Gold Medal for best painting at the Camberwell Rotary Art Exhibition three times.His works are in numerous municipal and private collections worldwide including Victoria Racing Club, Castlemaine RegionalGallery, Grafton Regional Gallery, Mimara Museum of Fine Arts, Commonwealth Art Bank.

professor of Art History. He was an assistant director of Academic Planning Department of Jiangsu Art Museum, vice director of Academic Department and director of Collection Department of Shanghai Art Museum, curator of Beijing Art Institute. Now he is a director of Chinese Artists Association, director of China Literary and Art Critics Association, chief-in-editor of Arts magazine, Vice Director of the Commission of Theory of the China Artists Association, member of expert committee of National Modern Art Research Center and National Contemporary Art Research Center, vice director of art committee of National Urban Sculpture Steering Committee, vice president of China City Sculptor Association and member of expert committee of exhibition judging of China Art Museum, professor of Academy of Fine Arts of Capital Normal University, curator of Qingdao International Watercolor Biennial etc. He successively published Yan Wenliang Research, Songjiang Painting School Research, Through the Centuries, 20th Century, Aesthetic Vision of a Nation, Building: Shang Hui Art Research and Criticism, Between: Aesthetic narration of Through History etc. and successively won First National Youth Publications Award, First National Youth Excellence Social Science Achievement Award, the First Prize of the 8th China Federation of Literary Critics Award and the First Prize of the 2nd China Art Award/Theory and Comment Award etc.

Tie Yang,(China)

Tie Yang was born in Zhaoxian, Hebei in 1935, graduated from stage art dept. of Central Academy of Drama in 1960. Now he is a National first lever artist, professor, professional artist of Hebei Art Institute, a vice director of Watercolor Art Committee of China Artists Association, special researcher of China Art Institute, a director of Academic Committee of Hebei Artists Association as well as a visiting professor of Hebei Normal University and Hebei Science and Technology University. He served as a juror of the 7th National Art Exhibition and all previous after that as well as the 4th National Watercolor & Pastel Exhibition and all previous after that, at the same time he had the works for these exhibitions. He was also a juror of the art exhibit for some oil paintings & Province Exhibit and his works were in these exhibits. He won awards from the National Art Exhibits and some salon exhibits and won the highest award from Hebei province government two times“Renaissance Award”and won some awards from Province Exhibit. He ever held the salon exhibitions and joint exhibitions in some countries of Europe, Asia and America, his works were collected by National Art Museum of China and museums in many countries of Europe, Asia and America.
